Welcome to The New Yarn Gallery online shop.

All the yarns you will find here have been hand dyed using a varity of different techniques, but are unique dye lots. All the colours are mixed daily by eye which keeps the colour ranges ever changing and allowing us to explore new colours every day.

The lace weight yarns and sock yarn are dyed to have longer repeats of colour which works better for lace patterns allowing the pattern to show through. All the other yarns are dyed using a hand painting technique. This I describe as being like watercolour painting. The yarn becomes the canvas on to which we paint the dyes, creating random patterns with smaller repeats of colour.
