Each batch of hand dyed yarn is hand painted at The Yarn Gallery.
All the TYG yarns are hand dyed here at The Yarn Gallery and chosen for their high quality. Each lot is a unique batch, as colours are mixed daily by eye. Yarns are available for hand knitting and machine knitting in a variety of fibre contents including merino, Bluefaced Leicester, alpaca, angora, super kid mohair, silk, cotton and rayon/viscose. Cotton chenilles and other man made exotic yarns. Many different weight yarns are available included lace weight, cobweb weight, sock yarns, 4ply through to super chunky weights. Based in The Chequers, Gazeley, between, Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket in Suffolk. Yarns are currently available to buy online, The Yarn Gallery shop in Gazeley will be reopening soon. A Range of Hand Dyed Fibre dyed in the Lavender Colourway
I treated myself to selection of different fibres to try out on my new Majacraft Aura spinning wheel.
I decided to use the same Lavender colourway was used across these 6 different fibres and a skein of hand spun thick and thin yarn spun from the Corriedale.
First thoughts on my new Majacraft Aura
Just taken delivery of my first ever brand new spinning wheel, the beautiful hand crafted Majacraft Aura supplied by Ruth at thewheelewe.co.uk
My previous wheel was a very old single treadle Scotch tension Ashford Traditional.
