When I’m dyeing yarn I try to use a number of different techniques to suit different projects. Some yarns will have long repeats of colour and others, that have been hand painted will have tiny repeats of colour, varying colour on almost every stitch.

One of the increasingly popular dye patterns now, involves longer areas of solid colour and speckled sections. If you haven’t had a chance to use any of the yarns yet you might not be sure how they will look knitted up. I’ve knitted some swatches of my latest speckle dyed yarns so you can see how your finished project might look.
